Supporters

Like most community projects, the community garden has been a labour of love for many.

We are proud of how we have improved this community occupied land over the years, with recent additions transforming the land beyond recognition.

We would not have been able to transform this community occupied land without the help of our generous supporters:

Unicorn Grocery - Donated £100 worth of vouchers for seeds, etc.
Tree Amigos - Donated a beautiful Christmas tree in 2019.
Kawaja Brothers - Donated a beautiful Christmas tree in 2020.
Trafford Council - Community grant of £2000.
Jay Clarke Psychotherapist - Tree trunk stools for children.
Trafford Housing Trust - Community grant of £2000.
Stretford in Bloom - Invaluable advice and supply of seeds/plants.
Tibetan Kitchen - Willow Arch.
Mad Sustainable Design - Willow Arch, Sculptures, Totem Poles.

We're grateful for the ongoing support of local councillors Anne Duffield, David Jarman and Judith Lloyd, and we are so pleased to have the support of Trafford Council.

Kate Green MP had this to say:

As the MP for Stretford and Urmston, I’m proud to support local residents campaigning to protect and enhance their communities. Residents in Ryebank Road have done an amazing job developing a community garden at the end of their street, with support from Trafford Council. This is a lovely spot right on the edge of Longford Park, offering a safe place for children to play, for dog walkers to take a rest, and for everyone to enjoy.

Supporting community initiatives like this, which also contribute to tackling the climate emergency by making our environment a greener, safer and healthier place to live, is important to me and I’m delighted to see Ryebank residents coming together to take this positive action. Having visited the garden and joined residents at their very enjoyable Christmas street party this weekend, I pledge to do all I can to protect this important community initiative.
